Found One!

I regularly do searches for information about hope chests on the internet. I'm always so disappointed, but not today. :o)  Here is a wonderful post about a mom who had a hope chest and has a simple idea for starting one for her daughter. I hope you'll read it and enjoy it. I did.

  3. That's a wonderful link! Thank you for guiding me to it. I'm thinking of asking her if I can use her website as a reference as well.

Have you considered adding an apron to the hope chest? I made an apron in home economics when I was in Junior High School. It didn't suit me well but, because I made it, I used it until it just about fell apart.

I'm thinking, if made of the right material, it could also be a great base for exploring another decorative crochet border. You could even add a counted cross stitched pocket to the front.

  4. Aprons are a great project for the hope chest! I have fabric for a couple of different aprons for Miss Abigail. You'll all see them eventually. ;o)
