Trim on the Apple Dishtowel

As I was again cleaning in the sewing room this morning, I came across some dyed Cluny lace. It seemed like it matched the apple dishtowel that I completed last week. So naturally I stopped cleaning and attached a length of it along the edge with a simple running stitch. I think it adds a nice finishing touch. What do you think?

  1. The lace looks beautiful, Kathleen. It's interesting that you just happened to find it while you were cleaning and it's so perfect. Did you have in mind to add lace when you painted the towel?

    1. Not at all, Nancy. I really thought I was finished, but now that I see it with lace, I'm glad I could add something.

  2. The lace is perfect! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who stops in the middle of cleaning the craft room to work on a project when inspiration strikes!

  3. I thought the towel was beautiful just as it was. But this lace is perfect and brings it to a whole new level of beauty.
