Found One!

I regularly do searches for information about hope chests on the internet. I'm always so disappointed, but not today. :o)  Here is a wonderful post about a mom who had a hope chest and has a simple idea for starting one for her daughter. I hope you'll read it and enjoy it. I did.

  1. Kathleen,

Great blog, thanks for the link! I would love to have you submit a guest post tutorial to "Or so she says..." If you go to the site, www.oneshetwoshe.com and click on Guest Posts 101, it will tell you everything you need to know. But, feel free to ask questions.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Kathleen!

Thank you for visiting my blog. You are more than welcome to put me on your side-bar. It is always nice to find someone who shares similar interest!

  3. That's a wonderful link! Thank you for guiding me to it. I'm thinking of asking her if I can use her website as a reference as well.

Have you considered adding an apron to the hope chest? I made an apron in home economics when I was in Junior High School. It didn't suit me well but, because I made it, I used it until it just about fell apart.

I'm thinking, if made of the right material, it could also be a great base for exploring another decorative crochet border. You could even add a counted cross stitched pocket to the front.

  4. Aprons are a great project for the hope chest! I have fabric for a couple of different aprons for Miss Abigail. You'll all see them eventually. ;o)
